Anyway, we were excited to find out that Micah would be in charge of sanding, staining, and sealing our floors. This photo was taken on Monday right after he had sanded the wood. I love that the transition from the laundry room travertine to the wood in the hallway is smooth and level.

Sanded and Stained
Our friend, Micah Kim, works for the flooring company (Carpet Country) who we hired to do all of our floors. We met Micah and his wife, Kelsey, the first Sunday we moved in. They sat right next to us and we immediately liked them. Kelsey was warm and friendly, and they have two little kids similar in age to ours. By the end of sunday school, Kelsey was holding and playing with Avery.

This is the living room all ready for baseboards. I can't believe how much I love it! I'm really spoiled. It isn't great for sound reduction (the girls loved screaming in the house to hear the echo--fun times). But, it is way softer on bare feet than I expected! It is very smooth and doesn't hurt to stand and walk on like tile.
