I have struggled anticipating the girl's bike needs. I thought Avery's balance bike would help prevent some of the drama we went through with Emily learning to ride. Instead, Avery never really got the hang of the balance bike and became super afraid of anything with peddles. So last year I bought this tiny bike with peddles to help her until she was big enough to ride Emily's beginner bike. She was afraid and refused to ride it. Now she's big enough to ride the larger hand-me-down, so I decided to gift this little one to a friend. I kept procrastinating giving it away and now Avery has suddenly decided she loves this bike! Yay!
