Utah

We went to Utah last week during the school district's "ski week". We visited my mom in the hospital and spent lots of time with cousins. The highlight for the girls was visiting the Provo Beach Resort. Emily loved the ropes course the most, but they both enjoyed bowling for the first time. They also loved visiting Discovery Gateway with Belle and Violet. They got a couple of play dates in with Cassie's girls and Avery cried when she had to say good-bye to Lucy. They have become cute friends.

My Mom had a rough week. She had pneumonia and a fungal UTI. The infection affects her energy, her appetite, and her mental capacity. It's hard to see her confused and hallucinating. Her incision aslo opened up again in a couple of places. But, my dad says she had a great day today and is mentally clear. Hopefully the antibiotics are working. The wound vac they placed on her back seems to be helping, too.

She wasn't' scared at all!
She loved that I was taking pictures of her. She was the only one on the ropes course and had a personal instructor. Too fun

Avery used the ramp to push the bowling ball down. She was really strong, though and picked up the ball by herself and I helped her lift in onto the ramp. She did all the pushing. She won, of course :)
With the day pass at Provo beach, we got unlimited Carousel rides. This was Avery's favorite activity.

Lizzie only needed the playground at Provo Beach to keep happy. She is so much fun! Those giant eyes are just adorable.
Belle and the girls played in the grocery section of Discovery Gateway for a long time. So cute to watch them use their imaginations.

The view from mom's hospital. We had a few really pretty, clear days. So much nicer than the hazy January days.

I don't want to go!

Jonathan's team had a heartbreaking loss in the semi finals of club ball. He played great, though and scored lots of points.

We saw Ruby perform in her school's President's day play.

Avery loved Discovery Gateway! The balls were her favorite, but she liked everything. Except for the helicopter: it was a little TOO real.
