Ouch!

Avery got 14 stitches today. We didn't have plans this morning and decide to go play with belle and violet. The girls played dress up while Avery played with Coda. Then randomly Emily picked up a giant stick and threw it for Coda. It hit Avery on the eyebrow and cut her deep into the muscle. When we showed up at the bountiful InstaCare the doctor sent us directly up to Primary Children's Hospital. It was a stressful drive but we were in the best hands once we got there. Avery got the best care possible and came home happy with a slurpee and a stuffed cat. I am blessed to have such a supportive family that took care of Emily while I got Avery the help she needed. We are all so relieved that her injury isn't more serious.

Avery was more intersted in playing with Coda then dressing up.
Urgent care put this pink wrap on her head, and she said it "felt better".
She kept falling asleep in the car to the hospital. It was stressing me out because they thought she may have a concussion.
Once at Primary Children's, they quickly ruled out concussion and broken nose and made a plan to stitch up her eyebrow. She is lucky, they said, that the stick didn't hit in her eye, or below.
Avery wanted Mom to hold her and was very wobbly for a while after the sedatives.
