"I didn't hide it."

I took Emily to the running store today (I have crazy painful shin splints and bought some compression sleeves). When we got back out the van I mentioned that I didn't have my phone. Emily responded, "I didn't hide it, mom." Of course that means she did. So I went back in the store where she wouldn't help me find it and I had to have the salesperson call the phone, and then heard it faintly ringing beneath a pile of Legos. Awesome. That kid is gonna kill me, but she sure is funny.

In other non-related news, our house is still not on the market. Our relocation company is dragging its feet in getting us a real estate agent, so our carpets are clean, our windows washed, and most of our repairs made but there is still no sign in the yard. It may be good though, because we still have to get our gutters fixed and our yard cleaned up. I hope someone will buy our house!

Also, we found a home for Token. It is such a relief! I was so worried about him, because he is such a mamma's boy. But, our neighbor Jan is really excited to have him. I think she and Nick will be a great fit for him: they are retired, have time to give him attention, and don't have young kids to stress him out. He also really loves their yard because they have a little fountain (running water), and lots of birds to watch. I'm happy for him. Hopefully he'll adjust well to his new family. I cry when I think of leaving him behind, but I know he wouldn't be happy moving to California, so it really is the best solution for him.

We don't have a plan for Cleo yet. We hope to find a good home for her, but if we have to take her, we will. Anyone want an adorable kitty? She really is a great pet. She has never had an accident in the house, loves everyone, including kids and other animals, and is so pretty! She needs to be an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat with a family who can give her lots of attention. She is very affectionate and needs a warm lap most of the day.

Emily is 3 1/2  as of the 17th and Avery is 9 months old as of the 19th. It's so fun to watch them grow, and so strange to think that they will consider San Diego their home. I wonder how much of Salt Lake Emily will remember. I hope she'll remember some good things. I know for sure she will miss Grandma and her cousins.
