Emily stared Kindergarten last week! She loved it. She started at a new school, though a few of her PEPP classmates are also attending Tierra Bonita. She loves her new teacher, Mrs. Froebe, and was excited that Lilia from PEPP is in her class. She was also excited to see Nina at lunch time. On Friday we attended the family picnic at the school and got to know a few more friends. McKenna and Mimi are girls she has become friends with already. We are really impressed with the school and happy that she is happy.
I was worried that Emily would be the tallest and oldest in the class. She is the tallest, but there are many kids who are 6 or nearly 6, and some that are almost as tall. So she fits in :). I was also worried that Kindergarten would be too easy for a girl that already reads, but she is excited about everything they are learning and loves the positive feedback Mrs. Froebe has already given her about her reading skills.
