Sporty Spice

Emily started soccer last week. After doing a little class at Little Kickers with Aidan in the Spring, she has been asking to play the REAL soccer game, complete with snacks and medals. She is so competitive, it cracks me up! She wasn't the fastest or best soccer player out there, but she ran the whole time and seemed to pay attention :). BTW, she was the tallest, by a whole head, it seemed.

Emily has also been asking me to let her join the swim team. Our neighbor Nina does this at our neighborhood club, and Emily thinks she is so cool (she is one year older). Emily started this week on the "sideways" team, which is for the beginners. They swim half of the width of the pool for practice and then they get to swim one length at the end of the workout. I can't believe how hard Emily works and well she pays attention! She is so proud of herself for swimming all the way across the pool with no break!

Today after her workout she kept telling me how much she loved me and how much she loves swimming. It makes me so happy to see her so happy. Swimming still seems to be her biggest passion. She will "train" 3 days a week at our convenience, which is great.

So awesome. I love her already. Love all of your posts. Your kitchen is going to look great and I am totally amazed at your volleyball skills. We need to meet up sometime. Thought about trying to call you this summer until I remembered you don't live in UT anymore. Your girls are adorable and tell Emily she has chosen wisely.
