Traci and I took second in Aspen this year! Every year we have placed better than the year before and it seems more fun each year, too. I sure love Aspen. It is so pretty. It was a lot of fun to room with Angela and Cami, who placed 5th, and to play against Brenda and Airial, who tied for 3rd. I was so proud that Utah had 3 of the top 6 teams in the tournament this year!
Emily Gertsch came from Denver to watch me play. She is the sweetest and smartest person I have ever met. I didn't necessarily name my Emily after her, but she is why I love the name so much.Here are some of my favorite photos:

This was probably the last big tournament I will play in with Traci. Mike accepted a job in Boston and it won't be cost effective for us to play together anymore. It makes me so sad to think about, so I try not to. Maybe the stars will align and we can get another tournament in together some day. We'll see.
