Avery had her 2 Year Well Visit today. Dr. Bleha said she is growing well. She is 35 3/4 inches tall (82nd percentile), and weighs 29 1/2 lbs (73rd percentile). According to the charts, her predicted adult height will be 5'7". Of course Emily's "predicted" height is 5'10", so I don't really believe those charts.
Dr. Bleha recommended that she drink less milk and more table food. She currently drinks about 40 oz of milk a day, and the recommended amount is 24. Yikes. She loves her milk, but we're gonna have to start limiting it.
Dr. Bleha was very impressed with Avery's verbal skills. She commented several times about how much Avery has to say and how many sentences she uses. She thought this was advanced for a two-year-old.
She also commented on how healthy Avery has been. She noticed that Avery hasn't had any doctors visits except for her well visits. Such a happy, healthy girl. And for a two-year-old, pretty easy, too.
As a side note, Avery's new height was awesome at Disneyland on Monday. She got to go on some new rides, including the caterpillar roller coaster, and she loved it! This girl loves a good thrill, but is scared to get too close to Mickey Mouse. So funny. Overall the day was long, hot and crowded. But we enjoyed some Daddy time, and now we can avoid going for a while. Maybe again in January.
