I had to call my Mom this morning for her chocolate cake recipe. Avery requested chocolate cupcakes for her birthday party tomorrow.
Marie's Chocolate Cake
Sift the following together in a large bowl:
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Make 3 holes, and place one of the following in each:
1/2 c. + 2 Tbls oil
2 Tbs. Vinegar (any type)
2 tsp. vanilla
Pour 2 c. water over all the ingredients, then mix. Bake in cake pans at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. It makes 24 medium cupcakes. Bake cupcakes at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
