Remodel Process

Going without a kitchen was not easy. But watching it all come together was really fun. First came demolition:
The cabinetes were built off site then installed and painted onsite.

After the cabinets were ready, the granite and sink were installed.

I am so impressed with how the counter tops are fabricated and installed. We have only one tiny seam and you can't even see it!

We chose an extra deep Rohl Allia sink. Love it! It hides a full batch of dishes.

I wanted a 3cm eased (slightly rounded square) edge. The problem is in California the granite slabs are only 2 cm thick, so they had to add extra width to cover the base of the cabinet. I still like it.
After the granite was done, the backsplash was installed:

The tiles were hard to install because of their size. This guy was cursing me.
The color of the grout really stressed me out. Ryan wanted white. I wanted gray. We compromised with this "snow white". We like it okay.

Next came electrical and appliances:

Finally we got cabinet doors and the lights installed.
