First Dentist Trip

Emily went to the dentist for the first time on Monday. Our pediatrician recommended she see a pediatric dentist, but our insurance doesn't cover it, so I gambled to save a hundred bucks and took her to our boring family dentist office. The hygienist did great with her and Emily cooperated really well (why doesn't she listen to me this way?)! The hygienist gave her a mirror so she could watch everything she was doing, and Emily was intrigued. The dentist praised us both for brushing well: she has no cavities! But, he did say we need to start flossing because her teeth are close together on the bottom. Emily got a couple of tokens to buy toys and she was in heaven. Success for a small $10 co-pay. Hurray!
