My generous husband let me get a new lens for our camera! It's a 50 mm f/1.4 and should work way better for what I use the camera for: babies and kids. Yay! Here are a couple of practice photos I took with it at the park. Even though I messed up the focus (I'm a dork and didn't have the lens snapped in all the way, so the automatic focus wasn't working), you can still see such a difference in the colors and the soft blur (bokeh)of the background. Love it! Emily is filthy dirty in this photo, but she was so happy to play outside today. What a great day!

Can you please go outside today and take some photos so those away from Utah can see our "Happy Spring" weather? :)
