Days of '47 Parade

Emily and I braved the crowd and went downtown for the parade this morning. I was surprised how much we both enjoyed it! Emily was so excited about the plane that flew overhead, the clown that brought her candy, the police officers on their motorcycles, and the horses everywhere. I actually got a little emotional several times. First when I saw President Eyring representing the First Presidency. Then again when I saw the police force who work so hard to keep us safe. And most of all when I saw a large group of our armed forces, 90 percent of whom had served us over seas.

I am so glad we went! We came right at 9:00 and found a great parking spot and good seats. Who knew?
